D for Duck | Typographical Poster

D for Duck | Typographical Poster
This project that began in mid January was based around the idea of designing a typographical poster that would help display a literal-narrative for the letter “d” posing as a male mallard duck, by the way of a visual style that combines minimalism and simplicity together.

As you will see, the final outcome consists of the letter “d” being displayed in a lower-case sans-serif font, with the use of brackets to help illustrate the beak and eyebrow, alongside other minor details such as the stripe found on the duck’s neck and a single water droplet to help signify a recent form of contact with a nearby source of water itself.

To help push the overall depth of design that little bit further, I decided to include lighting gradients alongside a grain texture in order to help push away from a look that I felt would appear far too flat, and way too polished for my own personal liking.

So, be sure to tell me what you think in the comment section below!
